Sponsored Review: Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range

I was one of the 100 lucky bloggers invited to participate in the Eucerin Bloggers’ Challenge, organised by Eucerin® and thesamplestore.sg 🙂

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER

Prior to giving my reviews on the Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range (Cleanser, Scrub and Crème Gel) which I received, I would like to give a brief introduction to this range of products by Eucerin®.

The following information are all extracted from the Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range ads and press release given by thesamplestore.sg.

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range is oil-free, has anti-bacterial properties, and is non-comedogenic to prevent skin irritation and is compatible with any acne medication. Highly recommended by dermatologists, the range can also be used as a preventative measure against common skin problems.

Targeting acne-prone skin? Exactly the right skincare for me!! 😀

I’ve used products with Salicylic Acid but this is my first time using products with Lactic Acid for acne-prone skin!

Unlike harsh ingredients such as Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Oxide commonly found in many anti-acne products, the natural active ingredient of 2% Lactic Acid, that is proprietary to Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range, directly reaches the pores where acne originates and zooms in on affected areas without drying out other areas of the face, thus eliminating redness, dryness and flakiness. As Lactic Acid is also found naturally in the skin, there will be no allergic reaction on even the most sensitive of skins.

How does Lactic Acid efficiently and gently eliminate acne?
1. It targets only specific clogged pores where acne originates
2. It gently calms inflamed acne and unblocks clogged pores without drying out the skin
3. It fights acne-causing bacteria and stops the formation of new acne
4. It promises a healthy, clearer complexion in three weeks

After reading the descriptions, I was not surprised to know that the star product is the DermoPURIFYER Crème Gel! Afterall, you must leave the lactic acid on your skin for some time for results doesn’t it?

The key product from the Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range is the DermoPURIFYER Crème Gel designed to hydrate the skin and regulate excess sebum formation. Contrary to popular belief, oily skin should be moisturised regularly. When skin is properly hydrated, it is less likely to release extra sebum (oil) that contributes to clogged pores resulting in acne or pimple breakouts. By regularly applying the water-based, oil-free crème gel, skin feels refreshed, hydrated and acne free.

I’m sure everyone has a pretty good idea on this wonderful range of products in the Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range 😀

Time for the reviews!

Usage of the products

From 17 Nov to 27 Nov, total of 10 days

The Steps

As illustrated by the first picture, the sequence is Cleanser, Scrub and lastly, the Creme Gel ^^

Skincare routine

Morning: Cleanser -> Scrub -> Creme Gel -> Light makeup (just BB Cream and oil control powder) if I’m going out

Night: Makeup remover (if I used makeup in the day)-> Cleanser -> Scrub -> Sheet Mask/Clay Mask/Pore pack (once every 3 days) -> Creme Gel

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Cleanser Review

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Cleanser

This cleanser doesn’t really foam easily but the cleansing power is good! It doesn’t leave my skin squeaky clean but my skin feels smooth and supple after cleansing. I’m happy to note that my skin doesn’t not feel tight as it normally does with acne-fighting cleansers!

But I do notice that it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate as one of the ingredients =(

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Scrub Review

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Scrub

The Lactic Acid beads and micro particles inside the scrub are really gentle on the skin. I didn’t feel any tightness or soreness (due to over-scrubbing) after using this scrub! 🙂

While I couldn’t notice if there’s a reduction in the number of blackheads and whiteheads, I felt that my nose is smoother after using the scrub.

The only complaint is that it contains methylparaben. But, thankfully, it’s one of the last few ingredients!

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Crème Gel Review

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER Crème Gel

This moisturiser is pretty light and thus, is absorbed by the skin quickly after applying.

As promised, it helped to regulate sebum production and I’m pleased to note that my skin is not as oily as it would be after a few hours 🙂 Just a slight sheen!

I’m even more happy to notice that it helped to calm some of my zits down if I were to apply slightly more of the product on the zits the night before!

Thus, this has become my FAVOURITE among the three products! I STRONGLY recommend this product 😀

Overall Review

I’ve been using the three products together for ten days and I do felt a difference in the number of bumps of my face. My face felt smoother with lesser bumps. However, I still had new pimples popping up =/

At the same time, I noticed that my nose is considerably smoother and my pore pack shows a reduction in the whiteheads/blackheads removed ^^

But I’ll continue to use the range of products for another twenty odd days and see if there’s a difference to my skin condition. After, it was promised to give a healthier complexion in one month! I’ll updated on the results soon 😀

Lastly, a big thank you to Eucerin® and thesamplestore.sg for the sponsorship of the three full-sized products 😀

Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER

I’m definitely not the best ambassador with my not-so-clear skin but my skin condition HAS really became BETTER 😀 I figured with more time and patience, I’ll reach my goal of having a clearer skin with Eucerin® DermoPURIFYER range 😀

Hello! That’s the recommended regime as proposed by Eucerin. But it depends on your skin as well. For some people, daily exfoliation may cause even more breakouts. But a suitable cleanser like the Eucerin Cleanser + oil-free moisturiser like the Creme Gel for oily skin is a must 😀

I really need to replace my cleanser and I need a new scrub. My moisturizer a tiny bit heavier than I would like but I still have half of the jar left so I’ll continue to use it. I think I’ll definitely be trying this range out soon. I’ve been having recent issues with breakouts, I think some of it is due to allergic reactions though. But this seems gentle enough to work :).

This range of products are formulated for acne-prone skin so I’ll think it’ll help with your breakouts. Good luck! 🙂
